Aims & Scope

Journal of Middle East and Islamic Studies (MEIS) has a very important goal of deepening the understanding of the Middle East and Islam through a multidisciplinary approach. The focus and scope on studies that cover various important aspects, including politics, Islamic economics, halal industry, military, energy, psychology and culture. Research in politics, for example, aims to analyze the dynamics of power and policy in the Middle East region, which is known for its complexity.

Apart from politics, economic aspects also receive significant attention. This journal explores various economic phenomena affecting Middle Eastern countries, including the halal industry and Islamic economics. These two aspects have high relevance, given the region's important role in the global economy and international trade interactions.

The MEIS journal's scope of study also includes the military dimension, where defense strategies and regional security issues are analyzed. Energy is an equally important aspect, given the wealth of natural resources possessed by oil-producing countries in the Middle East. In this context, energy studies contribute to an understanding of global geopolitics.

Culture and Sufism are also integral to this study. Cultural research provides insights into the identity and values of local communities, while Sufism offers a rich and deep spiritual perspective. In addition, psychology is introduced in the analysis to understand social and individual dynamics in the context of Islamic societies.
