About This Journal

The initiation of JDVI (Journal of General - Procedural Dermatology & Venereology Indonesia) was conducted by leading dermatologists and venereologists from Indonesia who aspired to contribute to scientific publication and research. Knowledge and science continue to evolve in the field of dermatology and venereology, especially with new diagnostic methods, therapeutic and procedural approaches, and new emerging diseases.

The Journal of General - Procedural Dermatology & Venereology Indonesia was found in 2015 as an official publication by the Department of Dermatology and Venereology, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia. This journal is supported by Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital (RSCM) and the Indonesian Society of Dermatology and Venereology (INSDV). Since the first issue was published in August 2015, it has been published biannually, consistently, and continuously.

We only publish scholarly peer-reviewed materials with high quality and good evidence-based research. We accept scholarly materials such as case reports, studies, letters, and reviews about dermatology and venereology from worldwide, which have scientific value to all dermatologists and venereologists. Sources of funds are available from sponsorships and grants.

Journal of General - Procedural Dermatology & Venereology Indonesia was initially abbreviated as J Gen Pro DVI as published in volume 1. Furthermore, since volume 2, it has been changed into J Gen Proced Dermatol Venereol Indones. There are also some revisions in journal template, instruction for authors, and page numbering.

All articles and issues in Journal of General - Procedural Dermatology & Venereology Indonesia have unique DOI number registered in Crossref since October 2015.  Journal of General - Procedural Dermatology & Venereology Indonesia can be accessed through Directory of Open Access Journal (DOAJ) since July 2017 and Google Scholar since November 2017. 

This journal has been indexed in several indexing websites, such as WorldCat, BASE, Scilit, EuroPub, Hinari, DRJI, SINTA, PKP Index, NIU Library, Index Copernicus International, EZB, Princeton University Library, Ajman University Library, Kanazawa University Library, MIT Libraries, Research Bible, SHERPA/RoMEO, Cosmos, World Catalogue of Scientific Journal, International Journal Impact Factor, ProQuest and OneSearch since April 2018. 

This journal has been indexed in Garuda since July 2018. JDVI has also been accredited as a 2nd Grade Scientific Journal (SINTA 2) by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, Republic of Indonesia (RISTEKDIKTI RI) based on the Decree of the Director General of Research and Development Strengthening No.105/E/KPT/2022 on June 6th, 2022. This accreditation applies from Vol. 5 No. 2 (2021) to Vol. 10 No. 1 (2026).

Migration to New Website

In the end of 2022, JDVI undergo several changes; JDVI website is now incorporated with scholarhub of Universitas Indonesia that has been managed by the Research and Innovation Management Office Universitas Indonesia. This result in the migration of the website from OJS to Digital Commons website, changes of the web address, as well as changes in the appearance of the website.

The format of DOI number has changed to follow the format from Universitas Indonesia, however the previous DOIs in earlier issues are still active and can be accessed.

Several updates and modification is still continuously made to improve JDVI website.
