Starting from Volume XXIII (2026), IJIL will shift its publication frequency from a quarterly schedule (October, January, April, July) to a triannual schedule (February, June, October). The full announcement can be found here.

Starting from Volume 21 No. 3 (April 2024), IJIL will no longer provide proofreading services due to a new financial policy established by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia. Authors whose articles are approved for publication can have their article proofread by one of the Editorial Board-approved proofreaders. More details can be found here.
- As of 2022, IJIL is indexed in Scopus and Ranked 1 in Indonesia's Science & Technology Index (SINTA).
