CFP 2026 SCS Arbitration Award 

  1. The Indonesian Journal of International Law (IJIL) invites submissions for a Special Issue to be published in October 2026, commemorating the tenth anniversary of the 2016 South China Sea Arbitration Award. Titled “The South China Sea Arbitration Award at Ten: Developments, Debates, and the Future of Public International Law,” this issue aims to reassess the Award’s enduring legal significance beyond questions of political acceptance or enforcement.

Past Announcements

  1. Starting from Volume XXIII (2026), IJIL will shift its publication frequency from a quarterly schedule (October, January, April, July) to a triannual schedule (February, June, October). The full announcement can be found here.

  2. Starting from Volume 21 No. 3 (April 2024), IJIL will no longer provide proofreading services due to a new financial policy established by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia. Authors whose articles are approved for publication can have their article proofread by one of the Editorial Board-approved proofreaders. More details can be found here.

  3. As of 2022, IJIL is indexed in Scopus and Ranked 1 in Indonesia's Science & Technology Index (SINTA).
