About

The Indonesian Journal of International Law (IJIL) was first published by the Center for International Law Studies under the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia, in 2003 to serve the development of international law, particularly in Indonesia. IJIL is published four times a year, which are in October, January, April, and July. In expanding the readership, starting volume VII (2009), IJIL publishes articles only in English. IJIL has been accepting various articles from Indonesia's prominent experts in international law, as well as abroad. IJIL also has foreign editors with international reputations. In fulfilling the objective to promote international law, IJIL also has the content besides articles, which are international law-making and international law in news. We invite writers from around the world to share their thoughts. Every article is solely the writer's opinion and does not contain any opinion from the IJIL's Editorial Board. The principle of IJIL is "open to any ideas (open to all thoughts)".

Previously, IJIL was published under an Open Journal System platform ijil.ui.ac.id. As of 2021, IJIL's publication platform is supported by Digital Commons. Additionally, beginning with the 2022 issue, IJIL is now indexed in Scopus.
