About This Journal

Jurnal Penyakit Dalam Indonesia (JPDI) is an open-accessed and peer-reviewed medical journal, published by Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia. This journal aims to disseminate manuscripts relevant to the field of internal medicine, including original articles, case reports, evidence-based case reports (EBCR), and literature reviews.

Journal History

First published in July 2014, JPDI was initially available only in print format. Since 2016, the journal has been published quarterly (in March, June, September, and December). Subsequently, starting from June 2017 (Vol. 4 no. 2), the journal began to be published online through the website www.jurnalpenyakitdalam.com, which later changed its address to www.jurnalpenyakitdalam.ui.ac.id in early 2018 to enhance the journal’s quality standards. Due to major technical issues, JPDI has migrated its website to https://scholarhub.ui.ac.id/jpdi starting from December 2022.

Initially, JPDI focused solely on publishing original articles, case reports, and literature reviews. Since March 2022, JPDI has expanded its scope to include Evidence-Based Case Reports (EBCR) to broaden the journal's coverage.

JPDI received its initial national accreditation from the Indonesian Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI) in 2018, achieving SINTA 3 ranking (Decree No.21/E/KPT/2018). Following this, in 2019, JPDI's ranking advanced to SINTA 2 (Decree No. 28/E/KPT/2019).
