1. Peer Review Process
Jurnal Epidemiologi Kesehatan Indonesia employs a rigorous double-anonymous (double-blind) peer-review mechanism. Each submitted manuscript is independently evaluated by at least two peer reviewers who are recognized experts in epidemiology and public health. Neither the authors nor the reviewers are aware of each other's identities throughout the review process.
Evaluation criteria focus on scientific novelty, methodological rigor, clarity of findings, ethical compliance, and public health relevance. The Editor-in-Chief makes final editorial decisions based on reviewers' recommendations.
2. Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All published articles are freely accessible online without subscription fees or paywalls.
3. Publication Frequency
Jurnal Epidemiologi Kesehatan Indonesia is published by the Department of Epidemiology, Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia. The journal is published three times a year in April, August, and December. Manuscripts are processed on a continuous basis, and authors are encouraged to submit their work at any time.
4. Article Processing Charge & Waiver Policy
To cover operational publishing expenses, DOI registration, and digital infrastructure maintenance, Jurnal Epidemiologi Kesehatan Indonesia levies an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 750,000 (+ 11% VAT) upon article acceptance.
Waiver Policy: Jurnal Epidemiologi Kesehatan Indonesia currently does not offer waivers, discounts, or fee reductions on publication charges. All accepted manuscripts are subject to the standard APC rate regardless of institutional affiliation or geographic origin.
5. Electronic Archiving & Digital Preservation
All published volumes and articles of Jurnal Epidemiologi Kesehatan Indonesia are permanently archived and preserved electronically through bepress Archive (supported by Amazon Web Services) and UI ScholarHub (Digital Commons / Elsevier) to ensure long-term digital preservation and uninterrupted open access availability.
6. Copyright & License
Authors retain the right to deposit all versions of their work (Submitted Version, Accepted Manuscript, or Published Version/PDF) in institutional, subject, or non-commercial repositories immediately upon publication without embargo under Creative Commons licensing terms. For the purpose of Open Access, the author has applied a (CC BY-NC 4.0) license to any Author Accepted Manuscript version arising.
