Volume 2, Issue 1 (2022) Digital Transformation in the Everyday Urban Life

Digitalization is commonly discussed in today’s social and urban life. Every level of social life, government, services, products, and city planning currently has implemented digitalization: online availability, digital tools for access, compiling, and using data to proceed to meta-analysis. Digitalization affects the transition in society to be based on virtual, intangible vectors using computing techniques and algorithms. This digital transition is on the up in cities meaning more inventions in our daily lives. Cities are using the digital shift as a means to an end. The digital industry has been developed and should continue to be so. The development of smart cities is becoming a key component of transforming cities’ local economic development. The importance of smart cities is more significant than ever because they can eliminate the open data capacity gap and foster an agile approach to managing urban resilience.
