Abstract

Walking tourism has presented great opportunities for tourism industry stakeholders. Walking tourism can be developed anywhere according to the uniqueness of an area by making certain travel routes to provide a unique experience for tourists. This tour has been around for a long time in Jakarta, but is growing in the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic. Organizing walking tour packages in DKI Jakarta started with community activities which have now become government programs through collaboration with various tourism industry stakeholders. Through qualitative methods this research tries to explore the process of developing and managing the Jakarta Walking Tour program. The results of the study show that the program which started as a community activity, then supported and became the Tourism Office program has succeeded in attracting tourists and creating new routes that are packaged professionally. Currently the Jakarta Walking Tour has developed and become a new style of travel that is popular in the urban community of Jakarta. The Jakarta Walking Tour has also been supported by the use of social media and during the Covid-19 pandemic a virtual tour has also been developed. After the Covid-19 Pandemic, this tour has increasingly attracted tourists with various routes and various program offers. This program has an impact on cultural preservation, environmental preservation and supports community economic activities.

Bahasa Abstract

Wisata jalan kaki telah menghadirkan peluang yang besar bagi stakeholder industri pariwisata. Wisata jalan kaki dapat dikembangkan dimana saja sesuai dengan kekhasan suatu daerah dengan membuat rute-rute perjalanan tertentu untuk memberikan pengalaman yang unik bagi wisatawan. Wisata ini telah lama muncul di Jakarta, namun semakin berkembang dalam kondisi pandemi Covid-19. Pengorganisasian paket-paket wisata jalan kaki di DKI Jakarta berawal dari aktivitas komunitas yang kini menjadi program pemerintah melalui kolaborasi dengan berbagai stakeholder industri pariwisata. Melalui metode kualitatif penelitian ini mencoba untuk mengeksplorasi proses pengembangan dan pengelolaan program Jakarta Walking Tour. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa program yang berawal dari aktivitas komunitas, kemudian didukung dan menjadi program Dinas Pariwisata telah berhasil menarik minat wisatawan dan memunculkan rute-rute baru yang dikemas secara profesional. Saat ini Jakarta Walking Tour telah berkembang dan menjadi gaya berwisata baru yang popular di masyarakat perkotaan Jakarta. Jakarta Walking Tour juga telah di dukung dengan pemanfaatan media sosial dan saat pandemi Covid-19 telah dikembangkan pula virtual tour. Pasca Pandemi-Covid-19, wisata ini semakin menarik minat wisatawan dengan beragam rute dan tawaran-tawaran program yang beragam. Program ini memberikan dampak bagi pelestarian budaya, pelestarian lingkungan dan mendukung kegiatan ekonomi masyarakat.
