Peer Review Process
JEPI adopts the double blind peer review system that involves two or more reviewer for each article who has expertise and national reputation in the particular field of economics. These reviewers are ocassionally appointed group every series and managed by the board of editor. Once a submitted article is agreed by the board regarding the conformity of the article with the topic set by JEPI, the referees will be appointed.
In making judgement whether an article is reasonable for publication, the referess are asked four main inquiries:
- Academic depth in terms ofthe compatibility between research questions and methods
- Academic depth in terms of the appropriateness between analysis and conclusion
- Accuracy and completeness of the refereces
- Uniqueness and special contribution of the article
Normally, the process will take between two weeks up to a month to make decision of whether the article is accepted or not. It depends on the progress of the review by the referees. If an article is accepted, it will take about three months in average for edit-layouted process.
The detection element is done using web tools plagiarism Turnitin. JEPI have a policy on the application of plagiarism <25%, with a maximum of 1% per source.
Publication Frequency
The journal is published twice a year.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Readers have right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of all articles in JEPI.
Subscription and Purchase
At the moment JEPI appears in printed form. In the near future we are planning to produce two forms, printed and on screen format.

Publication Charge
There is no processing and publishing charges to corresponding author for publishing in Jurnal Ekonomi dan Pembangunan Indonesia. All of processing and publishing fee will be waived by Department of Economics Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Indonesia.
Each contributing author to be delivered five copies of the journal (hardcopy). We encourage authors to promote our Journal to their colleague.

Conflict of Interest Policy
Journal submissions are assigned to editors in an effort to minimize potential conflicts of interest. The following relationships between editors and authors are considered conflicts and are avoided: Current colleagues, recent colleagues, recent co-authors, and doctoral students for which editor served as committee chair. After papers are assigned, individual editors are required to inform the managing editor of any conflicts not included in the list above. In the event that none of the editors satisfy all of the conflict screens, co-editors who are least conflicted will be assigned to the manuscript. In addition, co-editors who are least conflicted are assigned for all paper submissions by sitting editors. Journal submissions are also assigned to referees to minimize conflicts of interest. After papers are assigned, referees are asked to inform the editor of any conflicts that may exist.
Confidentially
Editors, authors, and reviewers are required to keep confidential all details of the editorial and peer review process on submitted manuscripts. Unless otherwise declared as a part of open peer review, the peer review process is confidential and conducted anonymously; identities of reviewers are not released. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality of manuscripts. If a reviewer wishes to seek advice from colleagues while assessing a manuscript, the reviewer must consult with the editor and should ensure that confidentiality is maintained and that the names of any such colleagues are provided to the journal with the final report.
Regardless of whether a submitted manuscript is eventually published, correspondence with the journal, referees' reports and other confidential material must not be published, disclosed, or otherwise publicised without prior written consent. Reviewers should be aware that it is our policy to keep their names confidential and that we do our utmost to ensure this confidentiality. We cannot, however, guarantee to maintain this confidentiality in the face of a successful legal action to disclose identity.
Jurnal Ekonomi dan Pembangunan Indonesia reserves the right to contact funders, regulatory bodies, journals, and the authors’ institutions in cases of suspected research or publishing misconduct.
