Headings
Use concise headings with a clear hierarchy: Bold for first-level headings, and italics for sub-headings.
Figures
Use the highest resolution/quality possible. Acceptable formats: .ai, .eps, .jpeg, .png, .bmp, .tif. Number figures with Arabic numerals (e.g., 1, 2) and provide clear captions. Figures should be referenced in the text at their first mention.

Use only if necessary. Number notes consecutively with square brackets (e.g., [1], [2]), and list them at the end of the article.
Acknowledgements
Include these at the end of the Word document. Research funding sources should be acknowledged and include a description of the funder's role.
