The Indonesian Capital Market Review (ICMR) is committed to upholding high standards of publication ethics by ensuring the quality and integrity of its content through a rigorous double-blind peer review process. The journal promotes ethical conduct among publishers, editors, authors, and reviewers, and is dedicated to preventing research and publication misconduct. These principles serve as the foundation for the ethical standards applied to all parties involved in the publication process.

Ethical Standards for Editors

  • Editors ensure the quality, integrity, and ethical standards of all content published in the journal.
  • Editors evaluate manuscripts objectively on the basis of academic merit, without discrimination, and avoid any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Editors maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and uphold the integrity of the double-blind peer review process.
  • Editors make publication decisions based on reviewers’ assessments and communicate them to authors in a clear and transparent manner.
  • Editors consider reasonable requests from authors to exclude certain reviewers in order to preserve fairness and impartiality.

Ethical Standards for Reviewers

  • Reviewers maintain the confidentiality of all materials received during the review process and do not use any information for personal advantage.
  • Reviewers evaluate manuscripts objectively and fairly based on academic merit, without discrimination related to authors’ background or affiliation.
  • Reviewers provide constructive, honest, and well-founded feedback based on a thorough assessment of the manuscript.
  • Reviewers identify and report any ethical concerns, including potential research or publication misconduct.
  • Reviewers complete their reviews within the specified timeframe and promptly inform the editor if they are unable to do so, while disclosing any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Reviewers adhere to the journal’s guidelines, evaluation criteria, and review procedures throughout the review process.

Ethical Standards for Authors

  • Authors ensure that submitted manuscripts are original, have not been published previously, and are not under consideration by other journals, while avoiding all forms of plagiarism and self-plagiarism.
  • Authors properly acknowledge the work of others through accurate citation and referencing, and do not use confidential information without explicit permission from the source.
  • Authors disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence the research, including financial, institutional, or personal relationships.
  • Authors ensure that research involving human or animal subjects complies with applicable ethical standards and has received approval from the relevant ethics committee.
  • Authors provide accurate data and are prepared to supply supporting materials, including raw data, upon reasonable request by the editor.
  • Authors ensure that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the research, and that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final manuscript prior to submission.
  • Authors respond to reviewers’ and editors’ comments in a constructive manner and revise the manuscript accordingly, and promptly notify the editor to correct or retract the work if significant errors are identified.
  • Authors adhere to the journal’s submission guidelines and ethical policies, avoid fragmented (“salami”) publication practices, and ensure that any use of AI-assisted tools is limited to language improvement and properly reviewed by the authors.
