Abstract

Observational Study on LINE Application Utilization by Millenial Generation. Millenial generation is currently very sensitive to the existence of new media and one of the social network that is often used is LINE application where millenial generation can perform social activities using the application. New Media "generally refers to the content / content available on demand that can be accessed via the Internet and accessible to any digital device, usually containing user feedback, interactive, and participation creative. Through a qualitative approach, with literature observation studies, the author tries to link millenial generation behavior in using LINE applications through using and using gratification. Social researchers often classify the generation born between the 1980s and 2000s as millenials. It can be said that millenial generation is a young generation of today who is aged 15 to 34 years old. Writing is done with the aim to see how millenial generation through the process of gratification sought and gratification obtain after using the LINE application. Based on research results found that LINE is one of the Social News Sites is very popular by Millenial generation.
