Abstract
Background: The application of the green housing concept in housing estates is important for maintaining environmental balance amidst the issue of global warming, which can accelerate the rate of environmental degradation.
Aims: This article aims to assess the application of the green housing concept in relation to land use and management at the Mulia Gading Kencana housing estate..
Methods: The research was conducted using observation, interviews and document review, based on the Green Neighbourhood 1.1 framework..
Results: The assessment results show that the Mulia Gading Kencana housing estate scored 6 out of a total of 10, with a score of 10.78% for the ‘Public Green Space’ criterion and 67.74% for the ‘Microclimate’ criterion.
Conclusion: The application of the green housing concept in terms of land use and management revealed uneven performance across the criteria: the performance of microclimate management through vegetation was classified as good, but the availability of public green open spaces remains a key weakness that needs to be prioritised for improvement.
Bahasa Abstract
