Abstract
This research discusses about an oral tradition of Makalelon song of Tontemboan Minahasa ethnicity. This Makalelon Wakan is an originally traditional sub-ethnic song of Tontemboan Minahasa with lyrics in Tontemboan, Manado Malay and Indonesian, entitled 1) Minta Doa, 2 Tumembo Meko, 3) Di bawah Sinar, 4) Si Pisok Matelew-telew, 5) Sungguh Ibu, 6) Saaku Tumanei, 7) Bila Malam Tiba, 8 E Po’ok-po’ok, and 9) Saaku Cabow still continue being sung by the Minahasan people until now. From the research result, it is found that the Makalelon song has been the form of supplications and prayers to God, requesting expressions to ask for protection and a hope or petition to God, Opo Empung, a request from a child to parents (usually to his mother who bore), and love towards the hometown/village, longing to friends and relatives brothers in the village, miss will land born in a village in Minahasa . The songs passed down oral traditions’s messages from "the elders”, especially "from father and mother" to their children such expressions as: pray to each other, ask them to go home “back to the village”, fight to survive, keep on remembering the loved ones in the village, appreciate your mother’s sacrifice, pray and remember family in a far village, develop your village, struggling with this life and work hard to exist
Bahasa Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas tentang tradisi lisan lagu Makalelon dari etnis Tontemboan Minahasa. Makalelon Wakan ini merupakan lagu tradisional asli sub-etnis Tontemboan Minahasa yang memiliki lirik dalam bahasa Tontemboan, bahasa Melayu Manado, dan bahasa Indonesia, yang berjudul 1) Minta Doa, 2) Tumembo Meko, 3) Di bawah Sinar, 4) Si Pisok Matelew-telew, 5) Sungguh Ibu, 6) Saaku Tumanei, 7) Bila Malam Tiba, 8 E Po'ok-po'ok, dan 9) Saaku Cabow yang masih terus dinyanyikan oleh masyarakat Minahasa hingga saat ini. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa lagu Makalelon merupakan bentuk ungkapan permohonan dan doa kepada Tuhan, ungkapan untuk meminta perlindungan dan harapan atau permohonan kepada Tuhan, Opo Empung, permohonan seorang anak kepada orang tua (biasanya kepada ibu yang melahirkan), dan kecintaan kepada kampung halaman/desa, kerinduan kepada sahabt-sahabat dan saudara-saudara yang ada di desa, rindu akan tanah kelahiran di sebuah desa di Minahasa. Lagu-lagu tersebut mewariskan pesan-pesan tradisi lisan (warisan kelisanan) dari “orang tua”, terutama “dari ayah dan ibu” kepada anak-anaknya seperti: saling mendoakan, meminta pulang “kembali ke kampung”, berjuang untuk bertahan hidup, terus mengingat orang-orang yang dicintai di kampung, menghargai pengorbanan ibu, berdoa dan mengingat keluarga di kampung yang jauh, membangun kampung tercinta, bergumul dengan kehidupan ini dan bekerja keras untuk tetap eksis.
