Abstract

The increased risk of non-communicable diseases is still a problem in Indonesia, one of which is the lack of consumption of fruits and vegetables. The available data shows that although fruits and vegetables have a protective/protective effect on the incidence of non-communicable diseases but in real life, the average consumption of fruits and vegetables is still below the recommended intake. Thus, the protective effect cannot be seen clearly. This study aims to describe the consumption of fruits and vegetables and determine the factors of food parenting practices and other factors related to the consumption of fruits and vegetables in students of SMAN 37 Jakarta. Including descriptions of fruit and vegetable consumption, descriptions of each factor, and the relationship between consumption and the factors studied. This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional study design conducted on 160 students using a simple random sampling method. The data collection was carried out by filling out questionnaires and food record forms independently by respondents who were monitored online in July-August 2022. The results showed that as many as 88.8% of respondents still consumed insufficient fruit and vegetables (

Bahasa Abstract
